Organization

The Peace Education Institute is a politically and religiously independent non-governmental organization. By way of education, the Peace Education Institute seeks to create and promote a public opinion that enables a sustainable and just state of peace. The Institute works with citizens, educational institutions and other non-governmental organizations in Finland. Until 2008 the Institute worked also in Africa through three development co-operation projects. The Peace Education Institute is the only non-governmental organization in Finland which focuses solely on peace education.
